Our Client: Our Client is committed to providing safe, nurturing and empowering environments for young people on their journey towards independence and wellbeing through trauma-informed practice, Therapeutic Crisis Intervention, the P.A.C.E. methodology (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy), and individualised care strategies.
The Role: We are currently urgently seeking multiple staff to be inducted to assist with multiple shift requests per week across Northern Brisbane including Deception Bay, Caboolture, Kallangur and Taigum.
We're seeking casual Residential Youth Workers to join ProCare Australia's experienced Labour Hire Youth Worker pool, partnering with our valued client to deliver high-quality support and care for young people in residential settings.
In this role, you'll support young people facing complex trauma and attachment challenges, guided by an evidence-informed framework that integrates neuroscience, attachment theory, and trauma-informed principles.
You'll be supported by ProCare Australia's experienced team as well as our clients dedicated wellbeing team and empathetic leadership – who are committed to supporting you and delivering meaningful outcomes for the youth you care for.
While casual employment doesn't guarantee a minimum number of hours, many of our team members work full time hours thanks to strong demand.
Shifts will be offered according to your preferences, skills and experience.
Residential Youth Workers must have availability for sleepover shifts and weekend shifts.
Applicants should ideally hold at least 2-3 days of availability per week.
Pay Rates & Benefits: Minimum Hourly Rate of $56 per hour Weekday Night rate of $62.72 per hour Sleepover allowance of $106.72 Saturday rate of $78.41 per hour Sunday rate of $100.81 per hour Public holiday rate of $123.21 per hour Plus 12% Superannuation QLeave available for qualifying employees To Be Successful: Applicants must understand trauma and attachment theories, and have proven experience supporting young people who have experienced complex trauma and exhibit pain-based behaviours Completed Certificate IV in Youth Work, Community Services, or a related field or close to completion of a Degree qualification, with placement experience Hope and Healing Certificate Experience as a Residential Youth Worker is essential (12 months minimum) Deep understanding of the Child Protection Act, Charter of Rights, Standards of Care, and Hope and Healing Framework Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to craft clear, concise shift notes and thoroughly detailed incident reports Current Australian Driver's License Current Blue Card (Paid) Current National Police Check (Within 12 Months) Current First Aid (completed within the last 3 years) and CPR Certificate (completed within the last 12 months) A vehicle with full comprehensive car insurance Regular availability for day, sleepover and weekend shifts Desirable: Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trained NDIS Worker Screening Youth Mental Health First Aid Experience working with Indigenous and CALD clients Please note that if you are not shortlisted for shifts with this specific organisation, we may consider your application for other opportunities supporting clients with less complex needs, which may offer lower pay rates.
