Spiritual and Pastoral Care Roles in Residential Aged Care Facilities are available at various locations across NSW and QLD.

About the Role

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Spiritual and Pastoral Care Coordinators. In this role, you will deliver pastoral care services to residents and clients, supporting their cultural and spiritual wellbeing and ensuring choice in line with our Mission.

The successful candidate will report to the Residential Manager and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to achieve outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal spiritual support and pastoral care to residents and clients in accordance with their preferences and our Mission.
  • Support mission formation activities for employees within the residential aged care home.
  • Work in a safe manner and follow all policies and procedures to protect yourself, colleagues and residents.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Cert III or Cert IV in Pastoral Care or similar qualifications in theology or spirituality.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Catholic faith, particularly as it relates to the dignity of life and aged care.
  • Commitment to supporting the pastoral/spiritual care needs of the sick and elderly and their families.
  • Commitment to respecting residents' values, customs, preferences and spiritual beliefs.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance.
