Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of mental health care services. As a Senior Pharmacist, you will be responsible for managing a designated pharmacy area, delivering high-level pharmacy services, and exercising independent professional judgement in providing expert medicines information and therapeutic advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the organisation, management, and operation of a designated pharmacy area.
  • Deliver comprehensive and high-level range of pharmacy services.
  • Provide expert medicines information and therapeutic advice to patients, medical and nursing staff, and other health professionals.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to improve health outcomes, influence medication management practices, and support excellence in patient care.
Requirements
  • Hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy (or equivalent) and be registered or eligible for registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
  • Bring extensive hospital pharmacy experience with proven leadership, supervisory, or management capability.
  • Possess strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a complex environment.
  • Demonstrate a high level of professional and technical competence with comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy practice standards, codes of practice, and quality improvement strategies.
