State-wide Eating Disorders Specialist Clinician

As a clinician within the State-wide Eating Disorders Service, you will provide specialist mental health care to individuals and families affected by eating disorders across Adelaide's southern communities.

This is an ongoing full-time position that offers career stability with opportunities for professional development and contributing to innovative eating disorder services shaping mental health care in South Australia.

About the Role:
  • Provide skilled clinical care and individual case management to clients with diagnosed eating disorders.
  • Lead discipline-specific care within the State-wide Eating Disorders Service.
  • Offer group and individual evidence-based psychological therapies.
  • Support clients in utilizing community supports, considering social and cultural diversity.
  • Participate in referral triage, including gathering information from referral sources and obtaining collateral data.
  • Engage in communication forums with staff, clients, families, and carers.
About You:
  • Be highly motivated with the ability to engage clients with high service needs.
  • Exhibit strong assessment skills, including mental state, client strengths and needs, risk assessment, and use of eating disorder assessment tools.
  • Possess extensive experience in mental health clinical roles.
  • Hold leadership experience with student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
  • Display skills in psychosocial rehabilitation and individualized program planning.
  • Experience delivering evidence-based therapies such as CBT-E is advantageous.
