Job Opportunity:
We are seeking a high-calibre Legal Advisor to join our organisation in Brisbane, Sydney or Perth. As a trusted advisor, you will provide expert legal advice and services to support the delivery of infrastructure solutions for Australia's energy transition.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on, effective, timely and accurate legal advice on Native Title, Cultural Heritage, Environment & Planning and general operational safety matters.
- Provide general legal support in project approvals and access agreements, including infrastructure interface and crossing management.
- Manage insurance claims and drive team performance to reduce reliance on external law firms.
- Assist in managing legal risk related to project approvals, operational approvals and stakeholder management.
About You:
- Admitted to practice as a Legal Practitioner in Australia with a current practising certificate.
- Strong experience in Native Title, Cultural Heritage, Mining or Environment and Planning approval laws.
- Local market knowledge and experience in owner/operator-led infrastructure development and operation.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
