Role Overview

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations and service delivery of the Medical Chest Program in Queensland. You will collaborate closely with the Medical Chest Service Manager and lead the administration team to ensure optimal management of our medical chest services.

The Medical Chest Program is integral to our commitment to providing high-quality healthcare across various communities. This opportunity allows you to play a significant role in enhancing our service delivery.

This position is a full-time, permanent opportunity at our Brisbane Corporate Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Medical Chest Service Manager in ensuring the effective and appropriate utilization of medical chests.
  • Communicate with medical chest prescribers and chest holders, including some record interpretation.
  • Advocate for the appropriate use of medical chests by supporting end users with compliance and record keeping.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of relevant training materials, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulations regarding medical chest usage.
  • Oversee the registration, regulation, and training of medication chest holders, escalating issues as necessary.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for cost-effectiveness in operations.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership for the medical chest administration team, focusing on continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity
  • Proven experience in managing and leading a small team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong administration background, including data entry and records management
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
