Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Venue Operations Manager to join our team at a prestigious events venue. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and creating memorable moments that exceed expectations.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record in managing daily operations, including site setup and pack-down, as well as contributing to the planning and delivery of bump-in and bump-out production schedules. They will also be responsible for leading a team of casual staff, recruiting, training, and developing them to achieve their full potential.

In addition, the Venue Operations Manager will oversee food and beverage operations, including ordering, invoice processing, and stock control, as well as managing sponsorship activations and ensuring contractual deliverables are met to a high standard.

Other key responsibilities include preparing rosters, managing timesheets, overseeing audiovisual operations, and implementing management plans to ensure workplace health and safety compliance.

To be successful in this role, applicants must have a minimum of 1 year's experience in a management capacity, with previous experience in food and beverage, customer service, and cinema or event management being advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, initiative, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively as part of a team and lead a casual workforce.

Additionally, applicants should possess strong stakeholder management skills, time management skills, and a collaborative approach with a can-do attitude. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is also required, as is a current RSA and valid driver's license.
