The Position

As a Software Quality Assurance Engineer, you will collaborate with an agile team to develop new projects and improve internal and customer-facing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Thoroughly test changes and new features across our platforms.
  • Create detailed test plans and documentation.
  • Liaise with developers and stakeholders to resolve defects and quality issues.
  • Ensure the final product meets all requirements.
  • Validate and verify feature functionality.
  • Mentor engineers on defect identification and self-testing improvements.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-3 years' experience in the software development lifecycle (personal and self-taught experience considered).
  • Be detail-oriented and capable of identifying user experience issues.
  • Have a good understanding of software development and programming.
  • Be curious and able to think outside the box to find niche edge cases.
  • Troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Know how to navigate a command line and understand Linux environments.
  • Have a solid understanding of relational databases, especially MySQL, and can write SQL queries.
  • Create specific test scenarios through manual manipulation.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and SOAP Web Services.
