Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our Finance/Commercial team. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering expert procurement support across our operations, ensuring value-for-money outcomes that are safe, timely, and commercially robust.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, high-impact role where your ability to navigate complex procurement environments and deliver sustainable outcomes will be highly valued. You will work closely with partners across the business to understand operational needs, develop strategic sourcing approaches, and foster strong supplier relationships that drive performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build Strong Relationships: Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to understand business needs, risks, and expectations for informed procurement planning.
  • Develop Sourcing Strategies: Create and implement sourcing strategies tailored to the value and importance of goods and services being procured.
  • Manage Contracts: Prepare category spend profiles, lead market testing, conduct tenders, and manage briefings, scoring, recommendations, and negotiations.
  • Deliver Presentations: Provide presentations and briefings to suppliers, including participation in the annual supplier forum to enhance performance and establish new arrangements.
  • Provide Governance Support: Offer guidance on procurement matters to promote best practices across the business.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Commercial Mindset: A self-starting attitude with the ability to work independently and take ownership of your portfolio.
  • Strong Stakeholder Engagement Skills: A track record of building effective internal and external relationships.
  • Commercial Experience: Experience managing end-to-end procurement processes, including tenders, negotiations, and contract implementation.
