Research Associate
Job Description:This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate with an interest in drug development, neuroscience, and neurodegenerative diseases to work on research activities including assay development, in vitro drug screening, cell culture, and microscopy analysis.
The ideal candidate will provide technical and administrative support on a range of research projects, ensuring high levels of accuracy when completing tasks and providing excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated capacity to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to assist in the preparation of research data and ensure effective collaboration within the team.
- Bachelor's degree with honours or masters equivalent (or higher) in medical science, neuroscience, biochemistry, or related discipline.
- Knowledge of laboratory administration and experimental planning.
- Experience with laboratory techniques such as cell culture, high throughput assay screening, immunocytochemistry, protein extraction, and Western blotting.
- Excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated capacity to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
A strong service focus and quality awareness are necessary to ensure high levels of accuracy when completing tasks and maintaining a safe working environment.
The successful applicant will be able to work well independently as well as part of a team and actively participate in group analysis work.
