The job entails a collaborative effort with the research team to contribute to cutting-edge programs in Chemistry and Neuroscience.
About the RoleWe are seeking an individual who possesses initiative, meticulousness, and rational judgement skills. The successful applicant will be responsible for synthesizing and characterizing small molecule portfolios, as well as testing these in binding assays and in vitro assays in accordance with research protocols.
- Assist in developing new therapeutic agents to combat Alzheimer's Disease;
- Perform laboratory techniques such as molecular binding assays, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology, and cell culture;
- Manage data, update, and maintain databases for project samples and data;
- Contribute to day-to-day laboratory management and work collaboratively with researchers.
About You
You should have a Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, chemical engineering, engineering, material science, medical science, neuroscience, or related discipline. Knowledge of lab administration and experimental planning is essential. Experience with medicinal and/or organic chemistry, and chemical analysis (including mass spectrometry, NMR, HPLC) is highly desirable.
A strong focus on service quality ensuring high levels of accuracy when completing tasks is crucial. You should be able to work independently, as well as part of a team, and have excellent organisational skills with a demonstrated capacity to meet tight deadlines and manage time effectively.
