Laboratory Support Professional

At Healius, we're seeking a skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team. With a competitive salary of AU$65,000 - AU$80,000 per annum, this is an excellent opportunity for those looking to kick-start their career in laboratory science.
About the Role
We're on the hunt for someone who's passionate about working in a fast-paced laboratory environment and is eager to learn. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Processing and handling medical specimens with precision and accuracy
- Operating laboratory analysers and maintaining them according to standard procedures
- Identifying and prioritising urgent specimens to ensure timely results
- Filing and storing specimens, as well as entering data into our systems
- Providing support to Scientists in the lab as required
- Staying up-to-date with processing requirements for various samples and tests
- Communicating effectively with healthcare professionals both within and outside the organisation
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess a unique blend of skills and experience. We're looking for someone with:
- Previous experience in processing medical laboratory samples
- Proficiency in operating laboratory equipment
- A high level of attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve technical issues
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
