Job Description

The opportunity exists for a skilled Machine Technician to join our Visy PET team based in Ingleburn, Sydney. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of blow moulding machines to ensure the production of high-quality plastic products.

  • Set up and calibrate blow moulding machines according to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting of equipment and report any foreseeable issues.
  • Monitor, inspect and adjusting machine settings as required to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste and conduct quality checks on finished products.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
  • Maintain accurate production records and report any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain and ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience operating machinery within a high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • PET processing/operating blow moulding machinery experience would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience operating a forklift and hold a current forklift licence is essential.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude is essential, and a trade background is a bonus.
  • Blow Moulding machinery experience.
  • Quality control and defect analysis- You will have good attention to detail and an eye for accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient computer skills along with strong written and verbal communication skills.

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday to Friday. You will be required to meet Visy's employment criteria which will include a criminal history check and pre-employment medical (including drug & alcohol testing).
