The Role

As an Administration Officer – Primary Health Care Trainee, you will be the patient's first point of contact at one of our medical clinics.

This is an entry point role with potential for further growth and development.

You will work closely with experienced health professionals who will guide and support you in your duties.

Duties

  • First point of contact meet and greet clients.
  • Attend to all phone calls and messages in accordance with our triage process.
  • Booking of appointments using our system.
  • Maintain specialist calendars.
  • Ensure all correspondence related to GP referrals is scanned and filed in the appropriate patient chart.
  • Ensure that confidentiality is observed at all times when dealing with patient information.

Requirements

  • Must identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person.
  • Willingness and ability to undertake at a minimum a Certificate III Business Administration.
  • The ability to work independently, under guidance or direction and within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Previous experience in working with culturally diverse people.
  • An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People.
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Suite Applications.
  • Current and valid National Police Check.
