Job Description:

The role of Asset Systems and Planning Manager is to provide strategic leadership and direction to the Asset Systems and Planning Branch.

You will be accountable for the performance of the branch and serve as the asset owner's representative.

Key responsibilities include implementing, operating, and continuously improving systems and planning for the long-term management of infrastructure assets.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant local government asset management standards, practices, and principles.

They will also possess extensive knowledge of local government infrastructure processes and strong leadership capability, having worked in a management role within Local Government.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Asset Management or a relevant technical discipline
  • Professional Engineer's Registration or eligibility to obtain
  • Class C Driver's Licence
  • Extensive asset management experience
  • Well-developed leadership experience
  • Previous managerial experience in Local Government
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local government infrastructure asset management processes, procedures, and practices
  • Experience in project management and system implementation
