About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Analyst to join our Commercial Banking team. As a key member of the Relationship Management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the team with research, analysis, and developing a comprehensive database of client/industry-specific information, ideas, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial modelling and analysis to assess the risks and opportunities associated with new lending and client credit.
  • Prepare credit submissions for new facilities and coordinate deal execution through documentation and funding.
  • Manage the portfolio's data quality, compliance, and reporting requirements, including pipeline leads, calls, contacts, and revenues versus plan.
  • Perform performance monitoring and annual reviews for existing clients and report client financial and operational performance to Risk Management.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with the Client Service Centre team, Risk Management, Global Markets, Banking Products, Asset Finance Specialists, and Specialist Distribution.
  • Structure and articulate the credit merits of a transaction, including identifying and mitigating key risks.
  • Work closely with Product Specialists to meet client requirements.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in writing and analysing credit transactions, completing annual reviews, and reporting, ideally within Business and/or Commercial Banking.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Client service experience in a Commercial or Business banking environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen and well-developed financial analysis and modelling skills.
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex transactions and have previous 'new to bank' transactional and credit risk experience.
  • A tertiary qualification in Business/Finance and/or Commerce would be highly regarded.
