About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Music Therapist to lead the development and implementation of an evidence-informed music therapy service for patients on our specialist inpatient dementia management unit.

This is an excellent opportunity to utilise or further develop project management skills to pilot a service that will make meaningful improvements to the experience of patients, their caregivers, and our staff.

The position is well supported by an experienced and dedicated team, and our department is friendly and supportive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of an evidence-informed music therapy service
  • Utilise project management skills to pilot a service that will make meaningful improvements to patient experience
  • Work collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality patient care

Requirements

  • Approved degree in Music Therapy or postgraduate degree in Music Therapy
  • Current registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association
  • Specialist knowledge and experience in aged care
