Music Therapist Opportunity at Better Place Australia

About the Role

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team. You will provide individual and group music therapy sessions, conduct risk assessments, and maintain accurate resident records.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing personalized music therapy care plans
  • Coordinating music-based group sessions
  • Conducting residential assessments and maintaining resident records
  • Participating in team supervision and meetings

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in music therapy and registration with the Australian Music Therapy Association
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in developing and delivering music-based therapeutic programs
  • A genuine interest in working with older adults
  • A flexible approach and ability to work in an outreach capacity
