Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in occupational therapy, exercise physiology, or physiotherapy to join our team as an occupational rehabilitation specialist. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the occupational rehabilitation sector and make a positive impact on people's lives.

  • Provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with physical and psychological conditions, supporting them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
  • Work closely with employers, employees, medical professionals, and allied health specialists to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs.
  • Conduct assessments, including initial, workplace, and vocational assessments, to identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or injuries from motor vehicle accidents.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A tertiary qualification in occupational therapy, exercise physiology, or physiotherapy.
  • Previous experience working in occupational rehabilitation is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Compassion, empathy, and kindness towards clients.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Current NSW driver's license and access to a reliable car with comprehensive insurance.
