We are seeking a skilled Data Transformation Specialist to play a critical part in shaping the future of archives and records management.

This role will involve working with complex textual data across various systems to ensure the UK's digital history remains structured, searchable, and usable.

About the Role
  • Transforming data from different sources into formats that meet our target system requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining processes for extracting, cleaning, and transforming data.
  • Loading transformed data into target destinations or data models.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather user requirements and communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Identifying and resolving issues arising during data transformation and migration processes.
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have excellent skills in programming languages such as Python and experience with technologies like XSLT. They will also have knowledge of ETL processes and data governance practices.

Requirements
  • Python Programming: Excellent skills in writing efficient and effective code.
  • XSLT Experience: Familiarity with using XSLT to transform data.
  • ETL Processes: Knowledge of extracting, transforming, and loading data into target systems.
  • Data Governance: Understanding of data quality, reference, and master data practices.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong ability to identify and resolve issues during data transformation and migration.
