We are actively seeking a skilled and experienced precision engineer to join our Machine Shop team on a permanent night shift at our facility. This is an opportunity to contribute to a critical project.

About the Role

This role will see you setting and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components, ensuring that production targets are met with a focus on safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operating CNC Mills and Lathes in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings, including GD&T.
  • Ensuring precision tolerances are achieved.
  • Experience with Okuma, Mazak, and Fanuc controls is highly regarded.
  • Effective communication and the ability to work independently during night shifts.

You will be responsible for:

Setting and operating CNC machines to manufacture precision components

Requirements
  • Australian trade qualification in Fitting and Machining/Toolmaking (or equivalent).
  • Extensive experience operating CNC machinery in a precision manufacturing environment.
  • Strong metrology skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
