We play a crucial role in reducing the environmental impact of metal waste. We offer local governments and businesses opportunities to recycle metal waste, keeping our environment clean and green.

About This Role:

This role involves reporting directly to our business development manager and driving revenue growth. Key responsibilities include expanding customer base management, managing key customer relationships, developing and maintaining a customer database, building rapport with customers, reaching out to potential customers through cold calling and door-to-door visits, meeting agreed-upon sales targets, participating in weekly planning meetings, negotiating quotes, monitoring pricing trends and market changes related to steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and scrap industries, improving purchasing practices by developing new processes, procedures, and systems, negotiating ferrous and non-ferrous metals pricing with suppliers and customers, maintaining accurate records, and assisting in warehouse operations when needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Key qualifications for this role include being highly motivated and results-driven, having a proven track record in sales, previous experience in scrap metal trading or the waste industry, ability to influence outcomes with various stakeholder groups, a neat and professional appearance, an outgoing people-oriented personality, proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, self-motivation and attention to detail, ability to identify opportunities for growth or improvement across a complex business, excellent communication, organisational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
