About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Education Sector Business Development Specialist to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our Education team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and growing existing customers across Australia through extension selling of our solutions.

You will work closely with our education customers, providing expert advice and guidance on how to get the most out of our products and services. This will involve developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing accounts, formulating and implementing strategic business plans for client accounts, and canvassing new product ideas across our customer base.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in sales and business development, with a strong understanding of the education sector and its challenges. You will be a natural communicator, able to build rapport with customers and stakeholders at all levels, and possess excellent presentation and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing education customers
  • Grow and develop existing accounts through upsell and cross-sell initiatives
  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and critical business priorities
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations that clearly articulate our solutions and value propositions
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing and product management, to align strategies and drive results
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics to position Civica effectively
  • Assist customers in navigating our products and solutions, ensuring optimal use and satisfaction
  • Demonstrate a strategic sales approach, with a focus on consultative selling and customer success
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities in Salesforce
