
Leadership Position for Residential Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Residential Care Leader to oversee the daily care of young people in our residential care homes.
Job DescriptionAs a Residential Care Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of young people. You will lead by example, providing guidance and support to residential care workers to deliver high-quality care.
You will work closely with the team to maintain a safe, healthy, and harmonious home environment. This includes stepping in to lead during times when the House Supervisor is not present and implementing therapeutic practices to promote positive behaviors.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily care of young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development
- Lead by example, providing guidance and support to residential care workers
- Maintain a safe, healthy, and harmonious home environment
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values
- Awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people, and their families
- Relevant Diploma with substantial experience, including four (4) additional mandatory competencies
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, lead, and support a team of residential care workers
- Proven experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment
- Proven ability to relate to and work with young people with social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties
