Pathways Career Developer

Overview:

  • This is a part-time role that supports educational services for students.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and manage student career plans (years 9-12) and the College's Careers program.
  2. Collaborate with school administration to ensure each student has an individual pathway supported by learning plans across the school from years 7-12.
  3. Participate in Pathways parent/teacher interviews.
  4. Assist Administration with Census data and destinations data entries.
  5. Liaise with students in Years 10-12 to plan and engage in work experience as part of a work experience program.
  6. Engage in professional learning to develop knowledge required for the role.

Selection Criteria:

  • A willingness to develop understanding of career options, course counselling processes, and other initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with students, parents, and staff at the college and community agencies.
  • Ability to identify issues preventing students from achieving success and develop strategies and programs to support them.
  • Capacity to develop knowledge of vocational and assistance programs available to students.
  • Strategic planning and event management skills.
