Stantec is seeking talented graduates to join our Water Advisory & Planning team in Melbourne, Australia.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Planning and Design: Undertake various technical tasks such as data collection and analysis, hydraulic modeling, GIS/mapping, design drawings, engineering calculations, and reporting to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Site Assessments: Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project feasibility/constraints. Analyze environmental, geological, cultural heritage, and survey data to inform project planning.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for project approvals. Ensure project documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaboration with other Disciplines: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, environmental, structural, geotechnical, and process engineers. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Participate in training programs and professional development opportunities. Seek mentorship and guidance from experienced engineers within the business.
- Currently in the final year of your degree or with 1-2 years of experience.
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Passion for learning and problem-solving.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Good level of computer literacy including MS Word and Excel.
- Eligible to work in Australia.
