We are seeking a Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Planning Professional to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across disciplines and industries, bringing buildings, energy, resources, water, environmental, transport, and infrastructure projects to life.
This is an excellent chance to develop your skills and knowledge in designing the future of engineering. You will be involved in various technical tasks, including project planning and design, site assessments, and technical documentation.
About the Role:- Undertake various technical tasks such as data collection and analysis, hydraulic modelling, GIS/mapping, design drawings, engineering calculations, and reporting to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Participate in the planning phase of projects, including feasibility studies, hydraulic capacity assessments, infrastructure augmentation optioneering, and long-term strategic planning for water and wastewater systems.
- Support the design of water infrastructure, such as pipelines, tanks, pump stations, and treatment plants.
- Conduct site visits to gather data and assess project feasibility/constraints.
- Analyse environmental, geological, cultural heritage, and survey data to inform project planning.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and documentation for project approvals.
- Ensure project documentation complies with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, environmental, structural, geotechnical, and process engineers.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in data analysis and interpretation.
- You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- You have a solid understanding of water and wastewater infrastructure planning principles and practices.
- You are proficient in relevant software applications, including GIS and CAD.
- You hold a degree in a related field, such as civil engineering or environmental science.
