Surface Preparation Specialist Job">

We are seeking a skilled Surface Preparation Specialist to join our team. As a Surface Preparation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our work.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Examine surfaces to determine work requirements and read blueprints/instructions accurately.
  • Prepare work areas by making necessary preparations, such as scaffolding and covering fixtures.
  • Understand and complete works to specifications, including mixing paint coatings and selecting paints, varnishes, and stains for various surfaces.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, including Wet Film Thickness Gauges.
  • Carry out minor repairs when necessary and support team members to complete projects on-time and to specification.

Requirements:

  • A Trade Certificate -Certificate III in Surface Preparation or equivalent.
  • A High Risk Licence for EWP and/or Forklift.
  • Trade Qualifications in Protective Coatings (ACA, NACE, ICorr, or other trade certs).
  • An HR licence, high risk licence with EWP and Forklift.
  • A Drivers Licence (MR or HR class).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, meeting strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivation, organisation, punctuality, and reliability, with great work ethics.
