The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to our residents within a multidisciplinary team setting. Your key responsibilities will include conducting assessments, setting personalised goals with residents, and implementing therapy plans that foster independence and improve quality of life.
- Assess residents' capabilities and preferences, and set realistic, achievable goals.
- Implement and facilitate therapy plans to maximise residents' functional capacity.
- Prescribe aids and equipment as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with residents, families, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Supervise and support therapy assistants.
- Collaborate with other health professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
- Current registration with AHPRA as an occupational therapist (essential)
- Previous experience working in aged care (desirable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate quality care
- Current Australian driver's licence
