Job Title: Portable Workshop Technician">

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Portable Workshop Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily workshop operations, ensuring workplace efficiency and high-quality standards.

The successful candidate will possess excellent leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a small team. They will also have a good understanding of Australian Standards relevant to fire equipment servicing, as well as excellent communication and coordination skills.

Responsibilities will include supervising and working alongside a team of 2 workshop technicians, overseeing stock control, including ordering consumables and maintaining stock levels for service needs. The ideal candidate will also be able to develop and implement efficient workplace procedures to optimize productivity.

Other key responsibilities include liaising regularly with the store person, other supervisors, and portable technicians regarding stock and production needs. Additionally, the successful candidate will assist with internal and external ISO audit processes, complete internal invoicing, purchase ordering, and maintain associated documentation.

Requirements:
  • Leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a small team.
  • Good understanding of Australian Standards relevant to fire equipment servicing (training provided if required).
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to manage stock control processes effectively.
  • Competent with internal invoicing, purchase ordering, and general administration.
  • Strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
