Role Overview

As a specimen collector, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the health of individuals across Australia. You will be the initial point of contact, providing a warm welcome and creating a lasting impression that instills confidence and trust.

Key Responsibilities

You will collect blood and non-blood samples with precision and attention to detail, maintaining accurate records for every patient and sample, and ensuring timely delivery of documentation. Additionally, you will prepare and package specimens for transportation and testing, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including customers, clinic staff, and couriers.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge in phlebotomy or a related healthcare field, preferably with a Certificate III in Pathology Collection
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, with a high level of empathy and understanding
  • Organized with strong time management and attention to detail, able to work independently in a solo clinic setting
  • A valid driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
  • Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency, or a valid visa with permission to work

Vaccination Requirements

Proof of vaccination against vaccine-preventable diseases, such as hepatitis B, may be required for this role, depending on the location.
