Job Overview

The Field Operations Specialist plays a critical role in delivering end-to-end installation of telecommunications networks.

About the Position

This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing telecommunications equipment and networks, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. As a Field Service Technician, you will work independently to activate and assure telecommunications and technology products and services at customer premises.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver seamless service rectification and product installations.
  • Maintain and install copper cables, including fault finding, jointing, and jumpering.
  • Manage fibre network technology, core network technology, and data services.
  • Maintain and install customer premises equipment for both consumer and business clients.
  • Perform fault finding over copper networks in rural or remote settings.
Qualifications and Certifications:

Candidates must hold and maintain relevant licenses and qualifications, including a current driver's license, and meet regulatory requirements:

  • Certificate I/II in Telecommunications
  • Open cabling license
  • Traffic management qualifications
  • Industry white card

Training support is available for traffic management and white card certificates. Vaccination against Covid-19 is required unless an exemption applies.
