Role Summary:

As a Senior Estimator, you will lead the estimation process for construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and accurate estimates. Your expertise will be pivotal in preparing capital cost estimates that meet industry standard estimate classification guidelines.

  • Develop comprehensive cost estimates by analysing and interpreting project plans, specifications, and requirements.
  • Review and analyse bids, proposals, and subcontractor quotes to ensure competitiveness and compliance with project requirements.
  • Identify areas of risk and opportunities in construction projects and provide constructive feedback.

About This Role:

Our team is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join our ranks. As a key member of our Energy & Natural Resources team, you will work on exciting opportunities in clean energy and transmission assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the estimation process for construction projects

Prepare capital cost estimates

Analyse and interpret project plans, specifications, and requirements

Review and analyse bids, proposals, and subcontractor quotes

Provide constructive feedback on areas of risk and opportunities


Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A recognised Degree Qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, MRICS / AIQS accreditation or other relevant qualification
  • 10 years relevant estimating work experience
  • Transmission or Clean Energy experience preferred
  • Proficient in the use of estimating software and risk quantification software (Candy preferred)
