Financial Controller Role Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the month-end close process, including reporting, journals, and reconciliations.
  • Oversee tax compliance, including BAS, FBT, and annual returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Support and oversee audits and statutory financial statements, maintaining a high level of integrity and transparency.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations through budgeting, forecasting, and modeling.
  • Manage fleet security, including insurances and securities, minimizing risk and ensuring compliance.
  • Support the Credit and Accounts Payable teams as needed, maintaining a collaborative and efficient workflow.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, driving efficiency and productivity within the finance function.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must hold a CPA or CA qualification.
  • Proven experience in finance leadership or management roles is essential.
  • Strong technical accounting and reporting skills are required, with a focus on commercial acumen and ability to translate numbers into action.
