Job Title: Financial Services Officer

About the Role:

This role plays a pivotal part in delivering operational, administrative, and transactional services to support the district's strategic objectives.

You will have the opportunity to broaden your skillset and gain knowledge from a financial perspective. This includes gaining experience in a range of financial functions by covering essential tasks for other staff when they are on leave.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with staff across the Local Health District and broader Health entities to ensure tasks are completed according to procedures.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ministry of Health policies, district standards, and Australian Accounting Standards, with a commitment to aligning work practices with the Caring for the Coast strategy and NSW Health CORE values.
  • Ensure accuracy in processing financial transactions, banking tasks, and compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Be adaptable and eager to learn, open to broadening your skillset across diverse finance functions.

Requirements:

  • Hold a driver's license and be able to travel across sites within the district.
  • Commitment to aligning your work with organisational values, supporting both individual and district-wide goals.
