Orthopaedic Surgeon Opportunity

South Metropolitan Health Service is seeking highly skilled and motivated consultant orthopaedic surgeons with a special interest in one or more of the following sub-specialties:

  • Foot and Ankle
  • Primary & Revision Hip & Knee Arthroplasty
  • Hand & Upper Limb
  • Brachial Plexus
  • Paediatrics
  • Trauma & Reconstruction

As an experienced orthopaedic surgeon, you will lead the provision of acute orthopaedic surgery services to patients, promote personalised, safe and timely care, and contribute to the development of the SMHS's Orthopaedic Departments.

You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and work closely with junior medical staff to educate and supervise them in their roles.

The ideal candidate will be able to effectively manage unplanned and planned patient demand, achieve national performance outcomes and meet the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards.
