
Mental Health Nurse Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and build your reputation in the field of forensic intervention.
About the Role:- You will work on complex cases with individuals who have histories of violent and sexual offending, applying evidence-based assessment tools and treatment interventions to reduce re-offending and make the community safer.
As a specialist clinician, you will be responsible for delivering best-practice forensic intervention in a correctional environment, working within the Risk-Needs-Responsivity model and developing individualised services including:
- Comprehensive assessments, including risk assessments.
- Clinical interviews to determine appropriate treatment pathways.
- Treatment programs involving individual and group sessions.
- Preparing treatment plans and risk assessment reports for internal and external stakeholders.
We are seeking experienced mental health professionals registered with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses and holding a current driver's license. Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people are encouraged to apply.
