About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at Singtel Group. As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a critical role in implementing and improving our data governance strategy, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, corporate policies, and industry benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Data Governance Advisory Services: Provide guidance on best practices for data governance to business stakeholders across Singtel Group.
  • Develop Data Governance Frameworks: Develop and maintain data governance frameworks, including data standards, guidelines, and procedures in line with our new data governance operating model.
  • Conduct Data Governance Assessments: Conduct data and AI governance assessments and audits to ensure alignment to our organisation's data policies and standards.
  • Advise on Data Governance Maturity: Advise and collaborate with business data stewards and experts to continuously uplift our organisation's data governance maturity.
  • Design Training Programs: Design and deliver guidance and training to business units and technology teams on data governance industry standards.
  • Facilitate Data Governance Working Groups: Facilitate data governance working groups to ensure multi-functional alignment and decision-making.
  • Supervise Data Governance Metrics: Supervise and report on data governance metrics, risks, and issues, facilitating positive outcomes.
Requirements
  • Curious and Self-Motivated: A curious and self-motivated person with a passion for challenging the status quo and driving positive change.
  • Experience in Data Governance: Demonstrable experience and understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical data concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Business Analysis Skills: Extensive business and data analysis skills, including data classification, data manipulation, and problem-identification.
  • Communication Skills: Superb communication and interpersonal skills with experience leading team engagements to understand strategic challenges and recommend effective data governance strategies.
