">Job Description
">We are seeking an experienced Chief Governance Leader to steer our Commission's strategic direction and decision-making while upholding the highest governance standards. As the Chair of the Board, you will lead board meetings, ensure accountability of deliverables, and advocate for ASQ's mission and strategic goals. You will work closely with our CEO and Executive team, supported by the Company Secretary.
">Required Skills and Qualifications
">To be successful in this role, you should possess:
">- ">
- Extensive executive experience in areas such as business, finance, IT, legal, governance, HR, or customer experience in large and complex organisations;">
- Health, community services, or not-for-profit experience would be highly advantageous;">
- Extensive Board or Corporate Governance experience;">
- Demonstrated capacity to lead teams with an unwavering commitment to maintaining the organisation's governance framework and ensuring accountability across all levels of leadership;">
- Availability to attend evening board meetings and weekend events, as well as annual strategic planning and risk workshops;">
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to advocate to stakeholders and publicly as required;">
- Identifying as a worshipping Anglican will be highly regarded;">
- Relevant degree, preferably in a discipline related to the work of the Commission;">
- Completion of the AICD Company Directors course (or equivalent);">
- The ability to meet the requirements of a Key Personnel Check for the purposes of the Aged Care Act 1997;">
- No relevant criminal history or history of bankruptcy;">
- Willingness to travel.">
