Job Title: Government Advisory Lawyer
We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join our Government Advisory team.
About the Role:
This is a unique opportunity to work within a collaborative team undertaking merits review for a Commonwealth Government agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finalising litigation strategies and statements of issues
- Conducting directions hearings and case conferences
- Managing substantive hearings
- Solicitor advocacy at hearings and finalising briefs to Counsel
- Undertaking complex statutory interpretation
About You:
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- At least 5+ years post qualification experience
- Experience in government advisory work and litigation
- Strong solicitor advocacy experience and expertise
- Experience mentoring team members with excellent communication skills and a collegiate approach
