Government Advisory Litigation Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join our Government Advisory team. This role will involve undertaking merits review for a Commonwealth Government agency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Finalizing litigation strategies and statements of issue
  • Conducting directions hearings and case conferences
  • Managing substantive hearings
  • Solicitor advocacy at hearings and finalizing briefs to Counsel
  • Undertaking complex statutory interpretation

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years post-qualification experience, ideally with experience in government advisory work and litigation
  • Strong solicitor advocacy experience and expertise
  • Experience mentoring team members with excellent communication skills and a collegiate approach
