Dispute Resolution Specialist

This role is an integral part of our Complaints team, with direct reporting to the AIG Complaints Manager. Our Complaints team forms part of the broader Business Assurance function within AIG's Operations.

Whether serving those facing natural disasters or millions striving for a financially secure retirement, we have specialist expertise to help clients manage risk more effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage disputes from start to finish, adhering to industry codes and regulations.
  • Evaluate disputes, determine whether to uphold or overturn previous decisions, and prepare related documentation.
  • Build meaningful relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
  • Ensure fair and equitable outcomes for customers in handling complaints.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in law, finance, or a related field.
  • A working understanding of Regulatory Guide 271 - Internal Dispute Resolution.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities efficiently and effectively.
