Join our organization as a Virtual Health Clinician to support Australians with their health concerns through the Healthdirect Helpline.

This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses to play a vital role in delivering exceptional virtual care. Our team of dedicated clinicians provides guidance and support to callers, helping them navigate their health-related needs.

As a Virtual Health Clinician, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing health information and assessing symptoms
  • Conducting comprehensive telephone assessments
  • Recommending the appropriate time and place of care
  • Referring callers to other services such as GP Helplines, Urgent Care Clinics, and Virtual Emergency Departments

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse for a minimum of 3 years
  • At least 3 years of full-time (or equivalent) clinical experience within the last 5 years as a Registered Nurse
  • A varied nursing background involving substantial public contact, including complex primary health, acute medical, or emergency department settings
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate with compassion and professionalism
  • A high affinity with using computer systems, including telehealth platforms, databases, and digital communication tools
