Job Title: Community Health Specialist

The role of a community health specialist is crucial in providing healthcare services to remote communities. This position requires the successful applicant to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver culturally appropriate services to Aboriginal people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure culturally sensitive services are provided.
  • Participate in a 24/7 emergency on-call roster.
  • Maintain current vaccination, remote emergency management, and midwifery emergency management certification.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in remote practice settings.
  • Eligibility to obtain a Northern Territory driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to remote communities by 4WD or light plane.
  • Current with or willing to attain relevant certifications.
