About the Position

We are seeking an experienced RF Communications Specialist to coordinate satellite earth station operations, including tracking antennas, RF/microwave electronics, and monitor and control system software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to alarms and document issues and resolutions in tracking systems.
  • Collaborate with external vendors on troubleshooting, resolution, and improvement activities.
  • Coordinate with on-site vendors installing RF devices.
  • Create, update, and maintain gateway-related procedure documentation.
  • Analyze complex issues requiring schematics, automated data, and other resources for resolution.
  • Manage or provide support for projects maintaining diverse gateway networks.
  • Provide after-hours and weekend technical support for communication systems.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in RF Communications.
  • 5+ years experience operating gateway uplink antenna systems, earth stations, or applicable projects.
  • Experience maintaining Satellite or Terrestrial Microwave Earth Stations.
  • Experience using RF test equipment, such as Spectrum analyzers and Signal Generators.
  • Ability to perform 24x7 On-Call support and lift 25 lbs.
  • Authorized to work in Australia.
Preferred Skills:
  • Working knowledge of IP encryption devices, Ka/Ku band RF equipment, and communications theory.
  • Experience with Monitor and Control System software.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Network system support and troubleshooting experience.
