What you'll be doing:
We have 3 exciting opportunities available for qualifiedsenior clinicians who are keen to make a real difference, through provision ofcritical incident support, psychological assessment and intervention, andholistic and proactive health and wellbeing programs.
The Senior Psychologist role is an integral part of theMental Health Services program within the RFS which includes SeniorPsychologists, Psychologists, a Peer Support Program Coordinator, and PeerSupport Officers. The Senior Psychologist positions deliver state-wide andarea-based mental health prevention, promotion, intervention and recoveryservices to RFS staff and volunteers as well as support and guidance to RFSleadership and peer personnel. The role will require participation in arotating on-call after-hours roster, ensuring that our team always has accessto the care they need, whenever they need it.
The Senior Psychologist shares supervisory responsibilityfor the Psychologist in their Area with the Manager Mental Health Services.They also provide confidential and expert psychological services to RFSmembers, including complex clinical assessment, intervention, and referrals formental health and support services, while also advising leaders on mentalhealth risk management and contributing to the design and improvement ofService-wide psychological programs.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Theability to work as an effective team member within a multi-disciplinaryteam.
- Highlevel skills and experience in trauma-informed psychological assessmentand interventions for people experiencing mental health concerns.
- Theskills and ability to provide psycho education and/or mental health andwellbeing content in a group setting.
- Authorisationto clinically supervise provisional and/or early career psychologists (orare eligible for authorisation to do so).
- Agenuine appreciation and understanding of a volunteer-based emergencyservice.
