LET'S EXPLORE THE ROLE

The Procurement Specialist plays a key role in supporting BAI's supply chain management processes and Procurement Strategy.

The role is responsible for analysing procurement data across multiple categories and sources for input into Strategic Category Plans, Cost Saving & rationalisation identification, status reports & market updates.

The role also assists the Procurement Manager with proactive supplier performance management as well as commercial contract reviews and administration to deliver continuous improvement in the delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage RF(x) processes, evaluation, and appointment primarily across BAI's network reinvestment program
- Support the overall procurement strategy and individual category plans by providing analytical insight
- Support best practice procurement by regularly reviewing and updating policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
- Aid in the identification of a fit for purpose supplier base.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining a supplier relationship and evaluation process to measure effective supplier performance and compliance
- Ensure suppliers are onboarded appropriately and records maintained as per the BAI Procurement Policy
- Support & assist in developing an overall vendor base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage using National & Global market exploitation, leverages spend and leveraging technologies.
- Maintain relationships and communication with cross functional teams to assist with anticipating supply needs
- Complete regular performance reviews of suppliers under management in conjunction with the business
- Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on procurement activities.

LET'S HEAR ABOUT YOU

- You will be well versed in the end-to-end tender process
- Solid working knowledge across financial acumen and Procure to Pay Principals (P2P)
- Indirect category management and knowledge across Travel, Fleet, IT & Telecommunications
- Procurement category planning within direct procurement -Contractors and Civil construction
- Excellent relationship management with commercial contract interpretation & understanding
- Strong Analytical skills with confidence in report presentation and insights
- Supplier performance management and negotiation
- At least 5 years' experience in a Procurement Specialist or Category Management role – preferably within the services sector including Telecommunications, IT or Broadcasting or organisations with proven growth records
- CIPS accreditation (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply) or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
