About the Position

This full-time Deputy Principal Legal Officer position will support the Principal Legal Officer to manage day-to-day legal operations and represent the organisation in various settings. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality legal advice, casework, and representation; supervising and mentoring junior solicitors; and leading legal outreach services across remote communities.

Key qualifications and experience include admission as a solicitor in Australia, a minimum of 4 years post-admission legal experience, and expertise working within fields such as domestic and family violence, child protection, and family law. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership skills are essential for this role.
