As a senior legal advisor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our city.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a diverse portfolio of complex legal matters independently
  • Provide expert strategic advice to senior management and staff on legal frameworks and governance
  • Represent the organisation in high-stakes hearings and forums

You will be responsible for drafting critical legal documents, guiding and mentoring junior legal professionals, and collaborating across departments to drive outcomes that transform the city.

This is a dynamic, high-impact role for a legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced, values-driven environment and is seeking an organisation with a sense of purpose and vision.

The successful candidate will bring expertise in managing external counsel relationships, completion of a Bachelor of Law, and hold a current unrestricted Australian Practicing Certificate.

An understanding of local government operations and relevant legislation is highly desirable.

The position offers a competitive remuneration package from $143,292 to $168,578 per annum plus 12% superannuation, a 35-hour working week on a nine-day fortnight, and flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance.
