About the Role

As a Home Care Support Specialist, you will provide personalized support to older Australians in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

You will travel between clients' homes, providing domestic assistance, personal care, community access, and support with daily tasks and routines.

This is a casual opportunity with shifts available between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work. You will be reimbursed for kilometres travelled while working.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Domestic assistance, including light house cleaning and meal preparation
  • Personal care, including showering, daily hygiene, and monitoring of health and wellbeing
  • Community access to medical appointments and social activities
  • Support with daily tasks and routines
  • Building positive relationships with clients and their families
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support or similar
  • An Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Passion for making a positive impact in the lives of elderly Australians
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
